Shamim Shahed’s first book “Planchette and Edison” got published. “ChaitaliJosnayEkaMeyeti” (A lonely girl in the moonlight).
Directed first movie was “Insider”. Start directing his next film “JolBalika” (Water Girl).This film is inspired by one of his own novels.
ShamimShahed was highly interested in direction during the time of his work at ProthomAlo. Gradually, he joined in direction and television planning. He joined Banglavision (a leading satellite channel in Bangladesh) in August 2015 as a Senior Executive of Program. It opened a new chapter of his life. ShamimShahed’s directed TV show “Amar Ami” (Myself) got huge popularity where national award winning actor ApiKarim was the presenter of the show. Progressively, Banglavisionstarted airing shows which crossed 100 episodes. Then ShamimShahed joined ETV-Ekushey (national satellite channel of Bangladesh). He became the Program Manager of ETV-Ekushey and later re-joined Banglavision as the Head of Program in August 2010.
Judge of UNISEF Mina Media Award
ShamimShahed was involved with UNISEF during his time at ProthomAlo, the leading national daily of Bangladesh. UNISEF chose ShamimShahed as one of the honorable judges of UNISEF Mina Media Award. ShamimShahed was one of the judges of UNISEF Mina Media Award for five years.
ShamimShahed directed his first television drama named “Chor” (thief) where popular cricketer KhaledMasud and national award winning actor ApiKarim acted as protagonists. Then he also directed daily soap “ProvatiShobujShongho” which was aired on Channel One (national satellite TV channel of Bangladesh). He directed for than 25 dramas including MerilProthomAloTaroka Award nominated drama Akashnila, Operation Inani Royal Resort, AgamikalBikelChartayApni Mara Jaben (you will die tomorrow at 4pm) , Antargota, SonibarerChor (Saturday’s thief), HotatPriotoma (suddenly beloved), Jatakol, KadombiniMoriaPromanKorilo Se More Nai, Pa Othoba Train erGolpo and many more. These dramas are best known as television fiction production. ShamimShahed directed more than ten fictions are about to go on air very soon.
